Hi i'm Lee, one of the directors and teachers at Dolphin Swim School, I've been teaching since 2002 and have taught mixed ability classes, adults and one to ones. I'm currently doing the 121's at the school and thoroughly enjoying them. 

I'm married and have 2 children Ioan and Hollie.

I'm a big fan of making the lesson challenging as I’m motivated by results so I want to see improvement most of all, I try to make the classes fun and enjoyable throughout and if you’re in my class you'll be a little tired but with a big smile on your face.

My name is Eleni and I have been a swimming teacher for four years. 

I have a degree in performing arts and currently am also working as a teacher in a Welsh comprehensive in Newport alongside here at Dolphin Swim School. I really love swimming and thoroughly enjoy being able to pass those skills on and help children develop. I also work as a part of the admin team so I build relationships with both children and parents and love having all round communication with everyone allowing me to share your child’s progress.

Hi, I’m Caitlin. I’m a teacher and a part of the admin team for Dolphin Swim School as well as studying English, media, and journalism at Cardiff University. I’ve been a swim teacher for a few years now and it’s been the best experience! I have enjoyed building relationships with all parents and children and strongly believe in rewarding progression no matter how big or small. I understand the importance of personal development and using fun progressive practices to help every child work to the best of their ability. Working with children and having the opportunity to help them grow is honestly the most rewarding experience i’ve ever had and I couldn’t ask for a better team to do it with.

I have been teaching swimming at the Dolphin Swim School for over 9 years and have been teaching swimming since 1994. I am ASA level 2 qualified and attained numerous continuous professional development skills during that time, 

I am experienced in teaching group and one to one classes as well as Adult, improver and beginner classes. I am familiar with both the ASA (Swim England) and STA teaching programmes and I am a member of the STA. I thoroughly enjoy teaching as I feel that I am enriching children’s lives in a fun but structured way. 

I have also been a junior football coach for 10 years, a scuba diver for over 20 years, a wonderful time. I also like to play 5 a side football, walk the dog and many other activities.

Hello. I am Caroline. I started instructing with Dolphin Swim School a year ago now and have found it a highly rewarding experience. Swimming and participating in water sports has always formed a big part of my life and I recognise the lifelong importance of learning to swim and to be confident in the water. As teenager, I swam competitively for Caerphilly Swim Squad and it was then that I trained as a swimming instructor. Currently, I am a primary school teacher and have had 2 children, Ioan and Eleri who both share my love of swimming.  

Hi! My name is Jake and I’ve been working for Dolphin Swim School since 2019. I started off my career as a teaching assistant, which then progressed to lifeguard. Since then, I have passed my STA Level 2 Swim Teachers course and now teach my own classes. I love this job as I remember how fun it was to learn when I was young, and it makes me happy that I can give the same fun, valuable experience to young children. Outside of work, I play guitar in an indie band called The Crosshairs.

Hi, I’m Michael and I’ve been teaching swimming for over a year now. I’m also a swim coach for the Torfaen Dolphin swimming club and help their development squad. 

I’m currently doing a PGCE in secondary mathematics as well as working as a supply teacher. 

I love the sport of swimming and used to swim competitively till I was 18. I hope that through my teaching I can pass a love for swimming on to others like my swimming teacher did for me.

Hi my names Ciara I am one of the teachers at Dolphin Swim School. I have been a member of the swim school since 2018, starting off with lifeguarding and now teaching. My favourite thing about the job is watching each individual develop their skills and becoming confident swimmers but most importantly having fun. Alongside working in the swim school I am a student at Cardiff Metropolitan University currently doing a PGCE after achieving an undergraduate degree in sports studies and physical education
