Health and Medical FAQ's

Vomiting or Diarrhoea

Children should not participate in swimming activities if they have suffered from sickness or diarrhoea within the previous 48 hours.

Verrucas

Verruca socks must be worn and lessons can continue as normal

Open wounds

Despite the chlorinated water we would advise against swimming with an open wound of any kind, plasters and other dressings will not last in the pool

Measles, Shingles or Chicken pox

If the wounds to the skin have scabbed over then swimming lessons are okay, there must be no weeping of any kind and like with open wounds there is an increased risk of infection and transmission so unless they are 100% scabbed over then you aren't allowed to swim.
